Prison d'Afrique
The desire to build good diplomatic relations with Sekou Touré motivated the seizure in 1976 of Prison d’Afrique, an unflattering portrait of the Guinean president written by one of his former advisors, Jean-Paul Alata.
Two journalists, Hervé Hamon and Patrick Rotman, published a dossier entitled L’Affaire Alata, Pourquoi on interdit un livre en France with Le Seuil, in 1977.
